This rule will not apply to those who are already receiving a pension
The Ministry of Labor of Russia offers to assign a disability pension to volunteers without an application. The corresponding bill has been posted by the ministry for public discussion on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
The document provides for the assignment of a pension to citizens who received injuries, trauma, concussion or serious illness in connection with the performance of duties under a volunteer contract.
It is assumed that this provision will not apply to those volunteers who already receive an old-age or long-service insurance pension, that is, those who served in the law enforcement agencies before joining the volunteer service. In their cases, the amount of the pension will need to be recalculated.
It is planned to assign a disability pension to military volunteers from the day they are recognized as disabled due to injury or illness received during service in volunteer formations.
