MOSCOW, November 20. AvtoVAZ's payments to the budget for the recycling fee in 2023 will total about 60 billion rubles, company president Maxim told reporters Sokolov.
Previously, automakers paid the recycling fee quarterly, but this year its payment was postponed to December of this year. Thus, in 2023 we are talking about the payment by AvtoVAZ of the recycling fee for the 4th quarter of 2022 and the 1st-3rd quarters of 2023.
““In December, we will have to pay 60 billion rubles from the advance to the budget… We will pay the state every penny,” he said on the sidelines of the Federation Council, answering a question about the amount of scrap collection that AvtoVAZ will pay this year.
Sokolov also noted that the payment of the recycling fee for the next year will depend, in particular, on the level of production and could increase to 80 billion rubles.
The recycling fee for cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses was indexed in the Russian Federation from August 1. The rate increased on average by 1.7-3.7 times for passenger cars (depending on engine size). At the same time, highly localized automakers in the Russian Federation who have a special investment contract (SPIC) are entitled to industrial subsidies. In the industry, they are generally considered to be compensation for disposal fees.
