The second round of the presidential elections took place in Argentina the day before. The far-right politician Javier Miley won, while his opponent, Economy Minister Sergio Massa, admitted defeat. Miley will officially take office on December 10.
The elected president announced plans to abolish the Central Bank, carry out dollarization and large-scale privatization in the country. In the field of foreign policy, he intends to focus on cooperation with the United States and Israel, ceasing ties with Argentina’s main trading partners – China and Brazil, citing the fact that he does not want to do business with communists and socialists.
