The court rejected the appeal against the sentence of writer Glukhovsky* for fake news about the Russian Armed Forces

MOSCOW, November 28. The Moscow City Court upheld the absentee sentence against writer Dmitry Glukhovsky* in the case of disseminating fake news about the Russian army, the court reported.
““The verdict of the Basmanny Court of Moscow regarding Glukhovsky* was left unchanged, the defense’s complaint was not satisfied,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
In August, the Basmanny Court of Moscow sentenced the author of the novel “Metro 2033” in absentia to eight years in a general regime colony on charges of disseminating false information about the Russian Armed Forces. The writer was also banned from administering Internet sites for a period of four years.

According to investigators, Glukhovsky* posted videos on his social networks in which the Russian Armed Forces allegedly deliberately fired at residential buildings, schools and hospitals, massacred civilians and committed violent acts against minor Ukrainian schoolgirls.
