MOSCOW, December 2 The commissioning of multi-apartment housing in the Russian Federation in November amounted to 37 million square meters, individual housing construction (IHC) exceeded 50 million square meters, Russian Construction Minister Irek Fayzullin told reporters at the Russia exhibition and forum.
“We are heading towards a record, we won’t have any failures, everything will be according to plan. We have commissioned 37 million (square meters — ed.) of multi-apartment housing today. These are operational data. Maybe (we will reach the goal — ed.) 51 (million) square meters — ed.) even,” he said.
The volume of individual housing construction, according to him, exceeded 50 million square meters.
On Saturday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin recalled that by the end of 2023, at least 104 million square meters of housing will be commissioned in Russia.
Earlier in November, Khusnullin told reporters that the decline in housing commissioning in individual housing construction (IHC) in Russia in October, which Rosstat estimated at almost 60%, was due to the specifics of the implementation of gasification programs in the country.
Previously published Rosstat materials noted that at the end of ten months of 2023, 86.2 million square meters of housing were commissioned in Russia, which is 2% lower than the results of the same period last year. Housing commissioning in Russia in October 2023 decreased by almost 26% compared to October last year — to 6.5 million square meters. Only 2.1 million square meters were delivered to the population in October, which is 59% lower than October 2022.
