MOSCOW, December 3. Russian crab has captured the Japanese market, now it will be difficult to get rid of its imports, writes Nihon Keizai.

According to journalists, the high demand for seafood from Russia in Japan is associated with US sanctions. If previously the United States was the largest consumer of Russian crab, then due to the ban on imports to America, producers turned their attention to Asia, the newspaper noted.
Russian products turned out to be extremely profitable for Japanese buyers, the article emphasizes. Thus, the Tsukiji Crab Trading company, which specializes in crabs, has included Russian products in the menu of its signature restaurant. Fish stores were also able to increase the supply of crab due to an increase in Russian imports, journalists reported.
Director of Tsukiji Crab Trading Tadaaki Nakamura added that this year the company has faced great demand for its products, which is being met thanks to low prices for Russian seafood.
