In general, the large HS7 crossover appeared at Russian Hongqi dealers (the brand belongs to the FAW concern) back in the fall. However, this model has only now acquired its own page on the brand’s local website: it contains characteristics, a list of equipment and price. Therefore, we can consider that Hongqi HS7 has been officially launched in the Russian Federation. Note that in its native China, the cross recently entered the second generation, but they brought us the “first” model, that is, the 2019 model.

The HS7, intended for Russia, is based on a platform with a longitudinal engine arrangement; the crossover has all-wheel drive, with a clutch connecting the front wheels (“the second” SUV is simpler, it has a “trolley” with the main front-wheel drive and a transversely located engine). The length of our version is 5035 mm, width – 1989 mm, height – 1756 mm, wheelbase – 3008 mm. Thus, in terms of its dimensions, the “Chinese” is not far from the BMW X5.
Under the hood of the Hongqi HS7 is a V6 3.0 petrol turbo engine that produces 337 hp. and 445 Nm. The engine is combined with a classic eight-speed automatic transmission. The model has air suspension. It is stated that the HS7 will reach the first “hundred” in 7.8 seconds, the maximum speed is 230 km/h.

Judging by the website, in Russia the crossover is presented in a single Executive configuration, while you can choose a five- or seven-seat SUV. The list of equipment includes: 20-inch wheels, LED optics, panoramic sunroof, virtual instrumentation and multimedia system, separate displays for rear passengers, three-zone climate control, standard DVR, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, wireless charging for smartphone, all-round camera, adaptive cruise control, auto braking, lane keeping, traffic sign recognition and blind spot monitoring.
The recommended price of the five-seater Hongqi HS7 is 6,990,000 rubles. There is no price tag for the three-row crossover on the brand’s website yet; one of the dealers lists this modification for 7,090,000 rubles.
