MOSCOW, December 5 Russia would like a long-term truce in Palestine -Israeli conflict and a complete exchange of prisoners and detainees, said Russian Presidential Assistant for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov.
«The main thing now is to achieve a long-term truce, because these fragmentation truces are, of course, also useful, but still we would like a long-term truce to be achieved, a complete exchange of prisoners and detainees would take place, and then it would be possible to in this calmer environment, to begin some real work in the context of the prospects for resolving this conflict,” he told reporters when asked whether the Russian Federation is considering the possibility of putting forward its plan for a peaceful resolution of this conflict or is it interested in the Middle Eastern countries resolving the conflict.
He emphasized that Russia's principled position is known.
«And, of course, taking into account the fact that these countries that we visit are located directly in the region, they feel even better than us how and where the situation is developing, which is why it is for us to exchange views on this conflict will be extremely useful,” said Ushakov.
