MOSCOW, December 7 . The Ministry of Economic Development estimates Russian GDP growth in 2023 at 3.5%, but will not formally revise the forecast, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov told reporters on the sidelines of the “Russia Calling!” investment forum.
On Thursday, speaking at the forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia's GDP growth for the year will be at least 3.5%.
«3.5% growth this year is our current estimate. Naturally, we will not formally revise the forecast; we are constantly making working estimates. And the forecast will be prepared according to plan in the spring,» Reshetnikov said.
The official forecast of the ministry assumes that economic growth this year will be 2.8%, but authorities have repeatedly said that actual growth will be higher.
