NIZHNY NOVGOROD, December 8 .A cafe is on fire on the main pedestrian street of Nizhny Novgorod, 50 visitors have been evacuated, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
Information about a fire in a cafe on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street, building 46 was received at 16.14.
«Fire and rescue units are involved in the increased rank of fire No. 2. The roof is burning on the fourth floor. Visitors are being evacuated: 50 people are currently evacuated. The evacuation continues,» the message says.
The head of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, said that he went to the scene of the fire. “From the operational information: the power was turned off. People were evacuated. We are setting up headquarters,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
