ST. PETERSBURG, December 9 A citizen of Tajikistan living in St. Petersburg is suspected of holding her two children by the hands over a lit gas burner, causing them burns , a case has been initiated under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Torture”, reports the press service of the SSUSK for the city.
“»The investigative department for the Kirov district of the Main State Investigative Committee of Russia in St. Petersburg has opened a criminal case against a 30-year-old citizen of Tajikistan, suspected of committing a crime under paragraphs «a», «d» of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture),” the message says.
As the press service of the GUMVD for St. Petersburg reported the day before, the head of the kindergarten contacted the police with a report that a 30-year-old citizen of one of the Central Asian states had caused bodily harm to her minor children, six and eight years old. It was specified that she “brought their hands to a lit gas burner, as a result of which the minors received burns.” After this, the children were taken to the hospital, and their mother to the police.
The SSUSK clarified that the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the woman and bringing charges against her is being decided.
