MOSCOW, December 9The condition of the teenagers evacuated from Bryansk to Moscow after the shooting at the gymnasium remains serious but stable, said Assistant Minister of Health of Russia Alexey Kuznetsov.
On Thursday, a shooting occurred at Bryansk gymnasium No. 5. According to the Investigative Committee, a 14-year-old girl brought with her a pump-action shotgun, which she used to shoot her classmates, after which she committed suicide. As a result, two died (one of them was the shooter), five were taken to the hospital with injuries. The investigation opened a criminal case for the murder of two or more people, as well as a criminal case for negligence due to the lack of a metal detector at the entrance to the gymnasium.
“»The condition of two teenagers undergoing treatment at the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital of the Russian Ministry of Health remains serious, but stable,» Kuznetsov said.
He noted that the children underwent surgical operations. One of them has already been transferred from intensive care to the trauma department, is conscious, the second is still in a medicated sleep, Kuznetsov specified.
Kuznetsov also added that the three teenagers injured in the shooting in Bryansk who are being treated in hospitals in the city are in a state of moderate severity.
““Three victims being treated in hospitals in Bryansk are in a condition of moderate severity. All victims are receiving all the necessary medical care, there is no threat to their lives,” said Kuznetsov.
