MOSCOW, December 8, Sergey Fuks. Athletes of the Russian national team Artistic gymnastics will not take part in the 2024 Olympic Games under the conditions put forward by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said the head coach of the national team Valentina Rodionenko.
On Friday, the IOC announced its decision to admit athletes from Russia and Belarus to the Olympic Games in Paris and published the criteria for the participation of athletes.
«»We will not go under such conditions. All patriots understand this. They weed out our strongest athletes, deprive us of the flag and anthem. We need to stop adapting and be on our knees. Let the IOC itself think about how to admit us in a normal capacity» , — said Rodionenko.
