Residents of the Khakassian village of Kalinino came to Abakan airport to warm up due to a power outage. The Abakan 24 TV channel published a video in which a local man says that the villagers “do not see any other way out of the situation.”
The author of the video, showing other people walking next to him, says that “the entire village of Kalinino” came to the airport to “warm up.”
The administration of the Ust-Abakan region reports that electricity in Kalinino and the nearby village of Novy Rassvet was turned off due to an accident. Electricians are trying to restore it, while cutting off power to two more settlements near Abakan — the village of Teplichny and the village of Zelenoe.
According to Gismeteo, the weather in Khakassia is currently hovering around minus 27 degrees.
