The police conducted a raid among migrant taxi drivers at Vladivostok airport and handed them summonses to the military registration and enlistment office

The Primorsky Territory police conducted a raid among migrant taxi drivers at Vladivostok airport and reported on the delivery of subpoenas to them. This was reported by the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As stated in the press release of the security forces, employees of Center “E”, the Department of Migration Affairs and the State Traffic Inspectorate participated in the raid. In total, based on the results of the checks, 31 protocols were drawn up and 15 people were detained and placed in a detention center for foreign citizens. Ten taxi drivers who recently received Russian citizenship were given summonses to the military registration and enlistment office.

Previously, similar raids on foreigners who had recently received Russian passports took place in different regions of Russia. So, at the end of November, police came to the Wildberries warehouse in the Moscow region. Baza wrote that security forces were interested in illegal migrants and those who had recently received Russian citizenship. According to the telegram channel, some workers were given summonses to the military registration and enlistment office.

In October, security forces staged a raid on parishioners of a Muslim prayer house in Kotelniki, and a month later they carried out a similar raid on the Balashikha mosque. Several people in Kotelniki were detained and taken to the military registration and enlistment office, forcing them to sign a contract for military service. Visitors to the mosque in Balashikha are also encouraged to join the Russian army.

On October 28, the capital's department of the Investigative Committee announced the initiation of 22 criminal cases for evasion of military service (Part 1 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code) against natives of Central Asia who received Russian citizenship. A few days earlier, the department also reported that it had opened 14 similar cases.
