Last week, politician Alexei Navalny became ill in the Vladimir colony. This was reported by fellow oppositionist Kira Yarmysh.
According to Yarmysh, Navalny was dizzy, which is why he was forced to lie down on the floor. The colony staff, seeing this, lowered the bed in the cell, after which the politician was given an IV.
“We don’t know what it was, but given that he was deprived of food, kept in a punishment cell without ventilation and had his walking time reduced to a minimum, it looked like a hungry faint. After that incident, the lawyers saw Alexey, he was relatively fine. But now it’s been the third day since we don’t know where he is,” writes the oppositionist.
Previously, Navalny managed to write letters from the colony, but lately there have been no messages from him. “At least sometimes letters came from him, albeit censored, but this whole week there were no letters. The letters were not delivered to him either,” Yarmysh clarified.
For the last three days, Navalny has not been connected via video link to the hearings on his claims against the colony. His lawyers also cannot meet with the politician — for example, one of them waited for a meeting with the oppositionist for more than eight hours, but was never able to see his client.
