BUDAPEST, December 11 Hungary is against the start of negotiations about Ukraine's accession to the EU not for tactical reasons, but because this issue will have serious historical consequences, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó told reporters, broadcast on the M1 TV channel.
“»Our point of view is clear — now the situation is not suitable, not ready to begin negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. And this is not a tactical position on our part, but a well-founded position, since the question of when to start negotiations on the part of the EU on the admission of Ukraine to the community will have very serious historical consequences, it cannot be measured on a tactical scale,» Szijjártó said.
