The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service explained what the West wants from the successor to the President of Ukraine
Here intelligence reported accurately: there are “reliable data that high-ranking officials of leading Western countries are increasingly discussing among themselves the need to replace the current President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.” This is a quote from a statement by the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, which was distributed by the SVR press bureau. And this is bad news.
What, exactly, did the SVR tell the public?
That “possible successors to Zelensky as head of state are being considered.” In particular, on the sidelines of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in November, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine Budanov, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ermak, the former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Arestovich (listed in Russia as an extremist and terrorist), were named as potential successors. But the main thing is that Zelensky, according to the West, has lost the ability to “maneuver in a conflict with Russia in the interests of Washington and allies.” And maneuvering — negotiating with Moscow — “according to the estimates of the American intelligence community, taking into account the development of the situation in the Ukrainian theater of military operations” will probably be necessary in the near future.
So, Zelensky “will not be able to become a party to negotiations with Russia in the interests of temporarily freezing the conflict and saving the Russophobic Kiev regime,” because “he has gone too far in creating for himself the image of an uncompromising supporter of a war with Moscow to a victorious end.”
But any of the presented “successors” will supposedly be able to implement the scenario desired by the West: the creation of a “cordon sanitaire” between Russia and Europe, for which it will be necessary to achieve “a ceasefire between Moscow and Kiev at the moment when the Ukrainian Armed Forces completely lose their offensive potential.”< /p>

The West realized that just a little more and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will lose their potential; the military-industrial complex of Europe and the United States is not able to restore it right now; to help Ukraine gather its strength, time is needed, so the conflict needs to be frozen, perhaps by giving Russia part of the territories and promising “neutral status”, “no NATO”, “Russian language” and other unrealistic things — it worked before. But Zelensky is incapable of this.
Now, I hope, it is clear why the news about Zelensky’s possible replacement is bad news. The absolutely irreconcilable, stubborn and stubborn to the point of losing a sense of reality, the President of Ukraine is a guarantee that Russia will go, it will have to go to the end, until something like the Ukrainian Autonomous Republic appears on the map of the Russian Federation. Since he cannot act “in the interests of the West,” it means that it is in our interests.
