In Europe, the new version will replace the 250h variant. There, the models also expanded the list of equipment.
The Lexus UX SUV with a length of 4495 mm debuted in 2018, it underwent modernization in 2022. Now the global range of the model includes three versions: the purely gasoline UX 200, the hybrid UX 250h and the full-fledged electric car UX 300e. And now a new hybrid modification has been announced — UX 300h (in the title photo). Note that this design has so far been announced only for Europe, where it will replace the Lexus UX 250h. By the way, in the Old World, the cross is doing well: according to JATO Dynamics, according to the results of ten months of 2023, 14,749 units were sold (+35%). And this is the second line in the personal standings of the brand; only the older Lexus NX (18,777 units) is better.

As with the Lexus UX 250h, the Lexus UX 300h includes a 2.0 naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, an electric motor and an electromechanical CVT. At the same time, the new version is more powerful: total output has increased from 184 to 199 hp. (the characteristics of each motor have not yet been disclosed). Additionally, the Lexus UX 300h has a lithium-ion battery, while the UX 250h has a nickel-metal hydride battery.
The hybrid still has an e-Four all-wheel drive version with a separate electric motor on the rear axle, and the UX 300h has a new one with a power of 41 hp. (the all-wheel drive UX 250h has a modest 7 hp engine). However, this did not affect the overall output of the system: the same 199 hp. But the new modification is faster. It is stated that the front-wheel drive Lexus UX 300h will reach the first hundred in 8.1 seconds, the all-wheel drive in 7.9 seconds (the UX 250h figures are 8.5 and 8.7 seconds, respectively).

The 2024 Lexus UX 300h has other new features. For an additional fee, you can order a virtual tidy with a diagonal of 12.3 inches (alas, the company has not yet provided a photo of the interior of the refreshed crossover). It is also reported that the steering wheel is “adapted to integrate the Driver Monitor camera,” that is, a driver monitoring system (if the driver does not respond to warnings, the electronics will stop the car and turn on the emergency lights). The Lexus Safety System+ suite of safety systems has also been improved. Finally, the palette of body colors has been expanded.
The exact start date for sales of the Lexus UX 300h has not yet been announced, as well as prices. The Lexus UX 250h hybrid, for example, in France today costs from 41,990 euros. It is likely that the UX 300h will subsequently displace the previous hybrid version in other markets.
