NIZHNY NOVGOROD, December 11The prosecutor's office of the Nizhny Novgorod region organized an investigation after a video was published showing teenagers beating other children in the Shakhunsky district, allegedly provoked by the influence of the series «The Boy's Word», the department's press service reports.
On Monday evening, local Telegram channels posted a video shot on a mobile phone of some teenagers beating others, clearly younger than them, and forcing them to ask for forgiveness from some Anya. At the same time, the girls behind the scenes cheerfully comment on what is happening with the words “the boys don’t apologize.” The publications note that teenagers imitate the heroes of the series “The Boy’s Word.”
«»A video has spread on the Internet in which a conflict situation occurred between several minors, during which harm was caused to the teenagers. The prosecutor's office has taken control of establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of the audit, an assessment will be made of the implementation of the legislation on the prevention of neglect and delinquency of minors,» — the message says.
The premiere episodes of the series “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the Asphalt,” which starred Ruzil Minekaev, Ivan Yankovsky, Sergei Burunov, Anna Peresild, were released in the Wink and Start online cinemas on November 9. The series tells the story of youth criminal groups in Kazan against the backdrop of perestroika. The series caused significant public outcry due to scenes of cruelty and, according to some estimates, the glorification of crime.
The Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Family Protection, Nina Ostanina, contacted the Investigative Committee and Roskomnadzor of the Russian Federation to check the series “The Boy’s Word” for promoting a dangerous lifestyle for teenagers. Roskomnadzor did not identify any violations of Russian legislation in the series.
