MOSCOW, December 12 Russian President Vladimir Putin draws strength from the support of the overwhelming majority of the country's residents — this is the main thing, said presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
«Indeed, there are those who support Putin's actions as the head of the Russian state, there are those who do not support it in the world. This is completely normal, but this is not the main thing. The main thing is that Putin is supported by the overwhelming majority of people in the Russian Federation. This is what is an absolutely irrefutable fact, and what the president values, and what the president draws strength from,” Peskov said in response to a question about support in foreign countries for Putin’s decision to run for the presidency again.
He called on journalists not to divide the planet's population into «progressive and non-progressive.» “Let those who are associated with (manifestations — ed.) of old colonialism, what we are fighting with, do this. We are not going to divide anyone,” Peskov emphasized.
