The Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow imposed a fine of 500 thousand rubles on Left Bloc activist Lev Skoryakin and released him from punishment due to the time spent under arrest during the investigation. This was reported by lawyer from OVD-Info, Evgenia Grigorieva.
Skoryakin was released from custody in the courtroom.
The activist was found guilty of hooliganism (part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code) from -for promotions in December 2021. Then activists Ruslan Abasov and Umar Bolurov went to the FSB building in Moscow with flares and a banner “Happy ChKist Day.” As SOTAvision notes, the minor Bolurov then threw a fire towards the FSB building. Later, he testified that it was Skoryakin who gave the flares for the action, and his status in the case changed from accused to witness. Both Skoryakin’s defense and Abasov deny that Skoryakin participated in the action.
Skoryakin managed to leave the country, after which he was put on the wanted list.
In October, Skoryakin was kidnapped in a shelter in Bishkek by operatives of the Kyrgyz secret service — the State Committee for National Security. Accompanied by Russian security forces, he was escorted through the airport in handcuffs to his plane. Upon arrival in Moscow at Domodedovo, Skoryakin was beaten by FSB officers, demanding to unlock his phone and laptop.
