The security forces drew up a protocol on “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) against a man whose identity was established using a bot using information. Journalist Andrei Zakharov reports this on his Telegram channel.
The reason for the protocol was a comment under the news in one of the telegram channels. The man did not admit his guilt, but the court accepted as evidence several screenshots from the bot taken by the police. They indicated which phone number was associated with the account and the name under which it was registered.
In a conversation with Mediazona, Zakharov clarified that, according to the court, the man wrote a comment in which he called the “referendum” on the entry into Russia of the occupied Ukrainian regions “false.” As a result, he was fined 30 thousand rubles. The defense considered this decision unfounded, insisting that the account on behalf of which the comment was written did not indicate a phone number, and it was impossible to establish who it belonged to.
