The company owned by Gazprom Media was fined one million rubles under the protocol on demonstrating LGBT relationships without being labeled 18+

The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined the Red Media holding company 1 million rubles for a protocol on “demonstration” of LGBT relationships with incorrect age markings, reports the press service of the capital’s courts of general jurisdiction.

What exactly was the reason for drawing up an administrative protocol against a company owned by Gazprom-Media is still unknown (Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Administrative Code). The text of the resolution has not yet been published in the database of Moscow courts.

The same court at the end of November fined the Russian Reporting film company, the distributor of the Kinoliving TV channel, 1 million rubles for showing the American-British series «Episodes» marked “16+” (Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Administrative Code).

The court ruling stated that on the afternoon of May 20, Kinoliving showed an episode in which there is a “conflict-producing scene” with girls kissing. When analyzing the series, the court “took into account the classification of kisses, one of which divides them into social and sensual.”
