VELIKY NOVGOROD, December 22 A car crashed into a bus in the Novgorod region: the VAZ driver was killed and six bus passengers were injured, the regional traffic police department reports in a telegram — department channel.
It is specified that the accident occurred on Friday at 14.09 Moscow time on the Veliky Novgorod-Pskov federal highway in the Shimsky district. Driving a VAZ-21214 car, a 66-year-old man, for an unknown reason, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter bus operating on the Soltsy-Veliky Novgorod route.
“»As a result, the driver of the car died before the ambulance arrived. At the time of the accident, there were six people on the bus who were receiving medical assistance,» the report says.
It is noted that traffic inspectors and an investigative team are working at the scene.
