The expert told how much more expensive cigarettes will be from January 1
From January 1 in Russia there will be an increase in prices for cigarettes, this is due to an increase in excise taxes on tobacco products, reported Associate Professor of the Department of Statistics of the Russian Economic University. G. V. Plekhanova Olga Lebedinskaya.
In a conversation with the Prime agency, she noted that the minimum retail price for a pack could increase from 112 to 117 rubles. The expert indicated that the increase would be about 3%, which is higher than expected.
At the same time, according to her, the tax base in the country remained the same, so the result will be an increase in budget revenues.
At the same time, Lebedinskaya noted that the increase will not be significant for smokers.
