ST. PETERSBURG, December 24. The maximum bid for a business card of Russian President Vladimir Putin from the time of his work in the Leningrad City Council of People's Deputies in the 1990s, which is sold at auction in St. Petersburg, on Sunday 5 hours before the electronic auction is 200 thousand rubles, reported on the auction site website.
The auction, which will take place on December 24 at 17.00 Moscow time, is putting up Putin’s business card as an adviser on international relations to the chairman of the Leningrad City Council of People’s Deputies. Several phone numbers on this business card are written in Putin’s hand, as specified in the lot card. On Saturday a week earlier, the maximum rate was 2.8 thousand rubles with a starting price of 1 thousand rubles; on Monday, the maximum rate was already 120 thousand rubles.
““The leading bid is 200,000 rubles,” is indicated on the lot card.
This is not the first time that Putin's business cards have been put up for sale. Thus, in October 2019, on one of the specialized Internet resources, a business card from his time as chairman of the external relations committee of the St. Petersburg mayor’s office was put up for sale for 2 million rubles. Putin worked in this position from 1991 to 1996. On the same website, a “100% original” business card of Putin from the time of his work in the Leningrad City Council was previously offered for 950 thousand rubles.
