MOSCOW, December 27 In the military-technical Cooperation between the Russian Federation and India, including joint production of weapons, is seeing some progress, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday.
«We discussed the prospects for military-technical cooperation, including the joint production of modern types of weapons. Here, too, there is concrete progress. In this area, our interaction is also of a strategic nature. Its deepening corresponds to the national interests of our states,» he said following the negotiations with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Moscow.
Lavrov noted that Moscow respects India’s desire to diversify ties in the field of military-technical cooperation, but also stressed that Russia is ready to interact with India as part of the initiative to produce military products under the “Make in India” program.< br>
