NBC: the White House is convinced that Kiev will lose in a few weeks without Washington's help
Russia could gain the upper hand in the conflict in Ukraine in a matter of weeks if Kiev does not receive a new package of military aid from the United States. This is stated in a document sent to Congress from the White House, NBC reports.
The document was prepared by Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines. They argue that without new supplies of ammunition and military equipment, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will only last a few weeks, perhaps months.
Senior officials in the Joe Biden administration also provided Congressmen with data explaining their conclusions. Including this analysis of the situation on the battlefield and the forecast for the depletion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' resources.
According to the authors of the document, the absence of new military and financial assistance from the United States will negatively affect the attitude of Kyiv's other allies. If events develop unfavorably, they may rethink relations with Washington.
