MOSCOW, January 26 The inclusion of two districts of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra in the Arctic zone will contribute to the development of hard-to-recover reserves (TRIZ) by Surgutneftegaz, said the company’s general director Vladimir Bogdanov .
He noted that now it is necessary to fully see the regulatory documents that relate to the inclusion of two regions of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra in the Arctic region. We are talking about Berezovsky and Beloyarsky districts. The Russian government, as reported on January 20, approved the inclusion of areas in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF) — a part of the Arctic territory in which special tax and administrative regulation regimes apply.
“We have deposits in the Beloyarsk region, we are actually developing four deposits. This (admission of the area to the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation — ed.) will be of great help, because there are difficult-to-recover reserves in this region,” Bogdanov told reporters on the sidelines of Ecology Day in within the framework of the exhibition-forum «Russia» at VDNKh.
Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Ugra Natalya Komarova noted in September last year that the entry of the Berezovsky and Beloyarsky districts into the Arctic zone will significantly expand the opportunities for realizing scientific and industrial potential, taking into account the special regimes that are provided for Arctic zone.
