MOSCOW, January 30 ATMs and payment terminals of banks in Russia are operating normally, the largest credit institutions reported.
In the contact centers of VTB, Alfa Bank and Sovcombank, when asked whether there were any malfunctions in the operation of payment terminals and ATMs, they stated that “everything is working normally.”
At the Sberbank call center, when asked whether there were currently any system malfunctions, they answered that “everything is working correctly.” At the same time, they warned that technological work was being carried out, so clients may not be able to chat with operators in the bank’s application.
““At the moment we are not seeing any failures,” Tinkoff said, commenting on the issue of the operation of the application and ATMs.
On Tuesday evening, users reported problems with sites in the .ru domain zone in Russia, according to data from the Downradar service. The Ministry of Digital Development reported that access to sites in the .ru zone will be restored in the near future; a technical problem has arisen affecting the .ru zone associated with the global DNSSEC infrastructure (this is a set of DNS protocol extensions that guarantees the integrity and reliability of data). The .RU/РФ domain coordination center later reported that the problem had been resolved.
