MOSCOW, February 1 It is necessary to develop alternative types of energy, but at the same time improve hydrocarbon energy , since humanity cannot escape from it in the coming decades, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“No matter what they say about hydrocarbons, and no matter what they say about the need to develop alternative types of energy, and this must be done, and we in Russia are doing this, without any doubt we will continue to do this, but from hydrocarbon energy, of course, it also needs to be upgraded , we need to think about keeping it as clean as possible, but humanity cannot escape from it in the coming decades, many decades,” Putin noted during the opening of modern campus facilities in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The conversation about the importance of hydrocarbon energy took place during the opening of the research and educational center Higher School of Petroleum in Almetyevsk. The rector of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute, Alexander Dyakonov, reported to the president about this project.
«Today in Almetyevsk we are opening a unique facility: the research training center Higher School of Petroleum. Already here, university and industry science, practice-oriented training and real production are united here on one site. … The center is a complex of facilities , with an area of 110 thousand square meters, including two educational and laboratory buildings of 50 thousand square meters, these are 60 laboratories and 72 classrooms, which are equipped with the most modern world-class equipment,” said Dyakonov.
