The leaders of all 27 countries of the European Union agreed to allocate an additional 50 billion euros to Ukraine. The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, announced this on Twitter.
“This ensures constant, long-term and predictable funding for Ukraine. The EU takes the leading role and responsibility for supporting Ukraine. We know what is at stake,” the head of the European Council emphasized.
The EU plans to allocate an additional 50 billion to Ukraine until 2027. The countries tried to agree on this aid package back in December 2023, but then it was blocked by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
