MOSCOW, 12 Feb. Footballer Septian Rahardja died after being struck by lightning during a match in the city of Bandung (West Java, Indonesia), reports the Detik portal.
The tragedy occurred on the afternoon of February 10 at the Siliwangi stadium. As the city's police chief noted, after being struck by lightning, the 35-year-old player was immediately taken to a hospital in Bandung, where he died from his injuries.
The police chief also emphasized that the football player’s family opposed the autopsy, since, in their opinion, such a death is “the will of God.” Relatives also do not intend to sue over this incident.
