WASHINGTON, Feb. 5Taylor Swift wins a Grammy in the category “Best Album of the Year” for her music album Midnights, 66th The Recording Academy Awards broadcast takes place in Los Angeles and airs on CBS.
Also competing for the Grammy in this category were The Record by Boygenius, The Age of Pleasure by Janelle Monáe, World Music Radio by John Bautista, Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd by Lana Del Rey, Endless Summer Vacation by Miley Cyrus, Guts by Olivia Rodrigo and SOS from SZA.
Swift was presented with the award by singer Celine Dion, who won a Grammy in this category 27 years ago. Earlier in the event, Swift's latest album also won a Grammy in the Best Pop Album category. Accepting the award, the singer announced the release of a new album in April of this year.
The song FLowers by singer Miley Cyrus won in the category “Best Record of the Year”. She also won the award for Best Pop Solo Performance.
Victoria Monáe won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. Receiving the award, the touched performer compared herself to a plant, “which for a long time took root that no one saw, but finally its sprouts became obvious.”
The Grammy Award, established by the US Recording Academy, is awarded annually for achievements in various musical genres and directions.
