A court in Moscow fined five members of the register of “foreign agents” in one day, including Natalya Sindeeva and Yulia Latynina

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow fined five participants in the register of “foreign agents”. This was reported by the press service of the capital's courts.

The largest fine — 50 thousand rubles — was imposed on journalists Yulia Latynina and Matvey Ganapolsky. The founder of the Dozhd TV channel, Natalya Sindeeva, was fined 40 thousand rubles, and economist Sergei Aleksashenko and former top manager of YUKOS Leonid Nevzlin — 30 thousand rubles.

In all cases, the reason was complaints about the status of a “foreign agent” in publications (Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code).

In September last year, Natalya Sindeeva was already fined 30 thousand rubles because of three posts in the telegram channel without the “foreign agent” sign. Two fines under Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses that came into force during the year make it possible to initiate a criminal case against a person for a new similar reason (Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code).
