DONETSK, February 13 The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired six NATO caliber 155 mm shells at Gorlovka, including three cassette shells, the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Related Issues reported on the Telegram channel with war crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).

Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, there are chemical plants in the city concern «Stirol» and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest populated areas of the DPR; before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
155 mm artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States has supplied Ukraine with long-range howitzers M777 of 155 mm caliber; Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
