DOHA, February 22 Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani discussed with the Chairman of the Committee of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Russia, the founder of the Lukoil company «Vagit Alekperov deals with Russian companies that operate in Iraq, the press service of the Iraqi prime minister reported.
““Al-Sudani discussed with Alekperov the dossier of Russian companies operating in Iraq in light of the Prime Minister’s visit to Moscow in October last year,” the press service said in a statement on the Telegram channel.
According to her information, the meeting also discussed “plans for the development of the West Qurna and Eridu oil fields, where Lukoil operates, and ways to overcome obstacles impeding its work, as well as Lukoil’s participation in complex energy projects in Iraq and new rounds of issuing mining permits.»
