Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky appointed former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny to the post of ambassador to the UK. This was reported on the website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

Zaluzhny was fired from his previous post on February 8. Then Zelensky invited him to “continue to be on the team.” Alexander Syrsky became the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, in December last year the level of trust of Ukrainians in Zaluzhny was higher than in Zelensky.
