According to Cherepovets Truth, one of the induction furnaces of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant, owned by PJSC Severstal, exploded. As the publication wrote, the explosion was caused by a drone.
Later, the general director of the plant, Evgeny Vinogradov, reported on his VKontakte page that “a technological incident occurred in the blast furnace production this morning.” “One of the units was taken out for previously planned repairs. The causes of the incident are being clarified,” he added.
