
MOSCOW, March 7 Early voting abroad takes place in 51 countries and proceeds calmly, without incidents, Ambassador at Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Gennady Askaldovich said in an interview.
“Early voting abroad is taking place in a fairly calm manner and, fortunately, without incidents. This form of voting in our country this time covers 51 states,” the ambassador said.
According to him, the largest number of plots abroad are organized in Cyprus. “The record holder is Cyprus, where seven early voting were organized. More than a thousand of our compatriots have already cast their votes, we hope that the number of voters will increase,” the agency’s interlocutor added.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
