Mash: a hockey player in Moscow drank ammonia from a bottle and ended up in the hospital
The Mash Telegram channel reports that during a match in Moscow, the hockey player drank ammonia, as a result of which he received a burn to his mouth and stomach. It is noted that the reason for the appearance of the chemical in the water bottle is unknown. The police are currently studying the version of attempted poisoning.
According to Mash, the incident occurred on March 10 during a match of the Trudovye Reservi hockey league at the Yantar Ice Palace. The victim turned out to be 40-year-old Valery Zotov, who, after taking a shift, drank water from a bottle containing a chemical liquid that scorched the man’s tongue, palate and stomach.
The telegram channel indicated that Zotov was urgently hospitalized with a chemical second degree burn. The publication clarified that the man’s condition has already improved. As Mash noted, Zotov himself suspects that someone deliberately poured ammonia into the bottle.
