SAMARA, March 14 The prosecutor's office took control of the police investigation into a publication on VKontakte about cruel treatment of a cat, which an employee of a Samara clinic allegedly first beat and then threw out into the street .
Information about cruelty to animals was posted on VKontakte on March 13. It follows from the message that a cat was found on the street in the village of Krutiye Klyuchi, which was allegedly injured and thrown out onto the street by a clinic employee, the prosecutor’s office of the Samara region reported.
«The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoglinsky district of the city of Samara provided supervision over the progress of the pre-investigation check organized by the police on this fact,» the supervisory agency said in a statement.
Zoo activist Daria Petrakova, who published the above story on her VKontakte page, reported that the injured cat was “in poor condition, completely frozen and wet.” Overnight, the veterinary clinic doctors managed to stabilize his condition. The cat was given the name Luchik, now he feels better — he still has a good appetite, he is vocal and is already demanding attention.
