The authorities of the Kurgan region called for an urgent evacuation of residents of the regional capital, whose houses are adjacent to the Kirov Bridge area. This is reported on the regional government website.
“There is a threat of flooding. Evacuation is underway. Take children, elderly and disabled relatives and pets. Collect your things, documents, medicines and leave the danger zone,” the message says.
As Governor of the Kurgan Region Vadim Shumkov writes in his Telegram channel, the water level in the Tobol River has begun to rise again. He urged residents of the region to “hold on.”
