MOSCOW, May 15. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin thanked the State Duma and the Federation Council for their work in approving the new government, noting that all its members received parting words and instructions.
On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees on the composition of the new cabinet of ministers, and later that day met with them personally.
“I would also like to thank the Federation Council and the State Duma, personally both Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko and Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin for the work that was carried out in accordance with the Constitution. Discussions on the approval of members of the Cabinet of Ministers were public and widely covered by the media. Here we can say “that many pressing issues at meetings in committees and during plenary sessions were important, each of you received both parting words and instructions,” Mishustin said at the first meeting of the new Cabinet.
According to him, members of the Cabinet felt “the most important feedback from the people that parliamentarians represent.”May 13, 15:48InfographicsNew composition of the Russian governmentView
