MOSCOW, June 5 Moscow will respond to Washington permission for the Ukrainian military to carry out strikes with American weapons on Russian territory, former CIA agent Larry Johnson said on the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

"They will not endure in silence, just as we would not if Russia treated us the way we propose to treat Russia. We would consider this a threat to our existence and a provocation of war. It's time for Americans to wake up and realize this. The situation is more serious than ever in the history of US relations with Russia and the USSR. We are on the verge of something terrible. The difference is that the United States, not Russia, will pay for this,” the expert said.
Johnson stressed that the White House will not be able to do anything if Moscow responds to the threat to its lands.

Last week, the American administration allowed the Ukrainians to use weapons transferred to them against targets on Russian territory adjacent to the Kharkov region, but left in place a ban on cross-border strikes with ATACMS operational-tactical missiles and other means of long-range fire destruction.
Vladimir Putin emphasized that representatives of NATO countries must be aware of “what they are playing with” when they talk about plans to allow Kyiv to strike targets on Russian territory.
