Children who disappeared in the forest in the Sverdlovsk region told volunteers exactly how they got lost. They confirmed the grandfather’s words that they ran ahead when they saw a power pole, writes E1.RU.
A 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy got lost with their grandfather. Grandfather had a map, he saw a lake on it. They began to look for the lake to get their bearings, but ended up in a swamp.
“Grandfather himself no longer understood where they were. They couldn’t get out of there,” said the volunteer, according to the children.
< p>As a result, grandfather and grandchildren had to spend the night in the forest. The next day they again began looking for a way back. They reached the poles, which seemed to them like power lines, and the children said: “Grandfather, we are already leaving for the store.” Grandfather said: “Okay.”
The children went forward, but soon realized that this place was unfamiliar to them. They went back, but could not find grandfather. The guys were very worried about him, remembering that he had recently had a stroke and needed to take pills. The first thing they did was ask the volunteers if he was okay. They hastened to reassure the children, assuring them that the grandfather was able to reach the village and himself reported the disappearance of his grandchildren.
The brother and sister survived in the forest for three days together with two dogs. All this time they ate quail eggs. The dogs Rocky and Red kept their little owners warm and drove away the wolves that were walking nearby at that time.
