Tarasova admitted that she dreamed of attending Carroll’s training sessions

MOSCOW, June 10, Oleg Bogatov. The death of American specialist Frank Carroll was a huge loss for world figure skating, there was a dream to attend his training sessions and see the key aspects of the preparation of star athletes, said Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova.
The United States Figure Skating Federation announced Carroll's death at the age of 85 on Sunday. The coach, in particular, trained 2010 Olympic champion, world champion Evan Lysacek, medalists of the Games and winners of world championships Linda Fratianni and Michelle Kwan. The specialist was inducted into the national and world figure skating halls of fame.
“Oh, what a pity that Frank Carroll has passed away. I am very upset by the loss of such an outstanding specialist in our figure skating. He worked with many famous skaters. For example, everything that Kwan won, she won with him. As did Lysacek. To my great regret, I was not at his training sessions. It was my dream to attend his training sessions and see what and how he does with athletes. Frank is a great coach who has trained a whole scattering of world figure skating stars,” Tarasova said.
“Frank was a very educated person who was interested in, knew and loved literature and art. The last time we met was several years ago. I offer my condolences to Frank's family and the US Figure Skating Federation. Because his passing is a huge loss,” the agency's interlocutor added.
