MOSCOW, June 13. Ukrainians who are forcibly mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine will do everything to “internally take revenge” on the state, surrendering or simply deserting, Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko said in an interview with the YouTube channel Politeka.
The presenter wondered what mobilization in its current form can give results, when Ukrainians are “packed in the street” and beaten.
“It (mobilization — editor’s note) does not give serious results. This situation is a method of intimidating citizens, this is a method of formal approach to the formation of armed forces. Because a forcibly mobilized fighter is a weak, unmotivated fighter, a candidate for surrendering, in fact, going over to the enemy’s side or simply leaving,” Bondarenko warned.
< br>According to him, no barrage detachments or other similar measures will lead to results.
“Because if a person is not motivated, if a person is forcibly called upon, then he will do everything for evil, in fact, he will do everything in order to in order to take internal revenge somewhere on those who did this to him,” the political scientist added.
Martial law was introduced in Ukraine on February 24, 2022; the next day, Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. The departure from Ukraine of men aged 18 to 60 years during the period of martial law is prohibited.
For evading military service during mobilization, the country is punishable by up to five years in prison.
In mid-May in Ukraine The law on strengthening mobilization came into force. Videos of force mobilization are widely distributed on the Internet, in which representatives of Ukrainian military registration and enlistment offices, often beating and using force on men of mobilization age, take them away in minibuses in an unknown direction.
