MOSCOW, June 14 The Ukrainian armed forces continue to retreat from their positions despite the aid that has arrived from their allies, Myśl Polska columnist Krzysztof Podgórski wrote.
“To my great surprise, the huge supplies of American military aid that have already reached Ukrainian army units over the past month have not had any significant impact on the situation at the front. The Ukrainian army continues to retreat, while the Russians, as part of their ‘thousand cuts’ strategy, are opening up new sections of the ‘active front’,” the article says.
According to the journalist, the strategy of small tactical strikes by the Russian military will force weakened Ukrainian units to abandon more and more defensive borders.
At the end of May, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said that Ukraine lost more than 35,000 servicemen and over 2,700 units of weapons in May of this year. He also noted that Western countries, by supplying weapons to Kyiv, transmitting intelligence data and training Ukrainian soldiers, are escalating and prolonging the armed conflict in this country.
